Japan Hydrogen Association (JH2A)
CONCEPT
JH2A Purpose
Creating a rich earth with hydrogen
~ Delivering the ever-changing and nature-friendly power of hydrogen to the world ~
Hydrogen is atomic number 1 and has the simplest structure.
It's the first atom formed in the universe, and the universe, the earth, and living things are full of hydrogen.
Clean energy that can be extracted from various materials and does not emit CO2 when burned.
It can change shape freely and can be used as electricity, heat, or raw materials.
JH2A delivers the ever-changing and nature-friendly power of hydrogen to the world and creates a future that is kind to people and nature.
We build a hydrogen society at an early stage through the realization of social implementation projects.
In Japan, the public and private sectors have been engaged in research and development and demonstration experiments related to hydrogen for a long time, but the infrastructure development for social implementation is insufficient, the supply cost is high compared to existing fuels, and the market is immature.
At this council, we would like to discuss with various stakeholders the major direction of the strategy that should be taken in the future toward the realization of a hydrogen society.
In the early stages, it is not possible to proceed with the efforts of private businesses alone, and the support of national and local governments is essential. We pledge that the people, governments, local governments, and industry will work together to create a society that gives hope to the children of the future.
MESSAGE
Our mission is to fight global warming.
This council is an organization aiming to realize a hydrogen society. Hydrogen is abundant and does not emit greenhouse gases. It is also used in many industries. However, full-scale social implementation requires discontinuous innovation. In addition to proposing the relaxation of extremely strict regulations, this council will also carry out mutual enlightenment and understanding activities through seminars. Our mission is to fight global warming.
For the children of the future, JH2A will join forces with different industrial sectors and take a leading role in realizing a hydrogen society.

Creating a financing system for decarbonization
With the establishment of this council, the social implementation of hydrogen toward the realization of a hydrogen society will be greatly changed. The reason for the participation of the banking group is, firstly, to provide financing for decarbonization as a financial institution, and secondly, to create businesses together with business companies. We will work together as one to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, innovating, creating demand for hydrogen, reducing costs, and providing funds to businesses.
We will consider a mechanism to attract funds for research and development, investment accompanying scale-up, and ESG investment.

All-Japan Initiatives for Carbon Neutrality in 2050
In order to realize a hydrogen society, there are still many obstacles that must be overcome, such as the reduction of hydrogen prices and the expansion of hydrogen demand. JH2A has many companies and organizations with advanced hydrogen technology and knowledge, and all members will work together to solve problems and aim for the early realization of a hydrogen society.
JH2A will play a leading role in promoting all-Japan efforts toward carbon neutrality in 2050.
