CONCEPT

Supporting the early creation of a hydrogen society by carrying out social implementation projects

In Japan, there is a long history of public and private sector initiatives related to hydrogen, such as research and development as well as demonstration experiments, but as there is insufficient infrastructure for societal implementation and the supply cost is higher than existing fuels, the market is immature.
In this association, we hope to discuss the strategies that should be taken going forward with a variety of stakeholders in order to achieve a hydrogen society.
In the early phase, we have been unable to move forward with only the power of private industry, and the support of the national and local governments is paramount. We pledge to unite with the people, industries and the national and local governments to take initiative and create a society that gives future children hope.

Our mission is to counter global warming

This association aims to realize a hydrogen society. With an abundance of hydrogen existing, greenhouse gases are not emitted. It is also used by several industries. However, discontinuous innovations are necessary for true societal implementation. This association proposes easing of extremely strict regulations while promoting mutual enlightenment and understanding through seminars.
Our mission is to counter global warming. JH2A is taking initiatives to realize a hydrogen society by combining the powers of different industrial sectors, for our children's future.

Creating a financial structure for decarbonization

The establishment of this association is a massive turn toward societal implementation for realizing a hydrogen society. The first reason for participation of banking groups is that we are financing for decarbonization as financial institutions, and the second is to create business with business companies. The association will become a monolith for providing capital and other support for innovations, creating hydrogen demand, reducing costs and companies in order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. We will consider initiatives for capital for research and development, capital for expanding scale and incentives for ESG investment.

Nationwide Initiatives for Carbon Neutralization by 2050

There are many barriers to achieving a hydrogen society that must be overcome, including lowering the price of hydrogen, and expanding hydrogen demand. There are many participant companies and groups in JH2A that have a high level of technology and knowledge concerning hydrogen, and we aim for members to unite in resolving issues and realizing a hydrogen society at an early stage. JH2A will serve as the promoter for carbon neutrality by 2050 and proceed with initiatives nationwide.
